Jordan Harris was 26 years old when she was diagnosed with Stage 3, II (B) Hodgkin’s Lymphoma...
This cancer had her lungs at 50% capacity due to three separate areas of masses in her body. One was about the size of a golf ball on her neck, and the largest being about 7x that size within her chest, pushing her trachea and vital organs along with several other severe symptoms that began making appearances.
She didn't know these were forming in her body until, fortunately, her doctor discovered the swollen lymph node on her neck at a checkup scheduled for an unrelated health concern.
After further tests, her diagnosis was confirmed on September 29th, 2022. She spent the next 4 months going through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a 5th month of daily radiation treatments.
Though her type of cancer had a 95% recovery rate, there was still lots of fear, uncertainty, and decision making that made for a challenging road ahead.
Throughout her bout of cancer fighting,
God moved mightily through His people.
The struggle was not always easy, but thanks to both of her families, Crosspoint Church, her school staff, small group, friends near and around the globe, and through a weekly blog (Click here for the blog), Jordan was able to keep her spirits high. It really is the testimony of her support system that displays how the Lord showed up for Jordan and her fiance Ryan in all the ways. Jordan’s fight with this sickness is now coming to a close, and for that we say, “praise God”, but we all know that cancer has a way of racking up bills.
On May 21st, 2023, Love Heals hosted a benefit worship night at Crosspoint Church. We spent time singing, praying, and celebrating all of the people who walked alongside Jordan and Ryan during a challenging 6-month sprint.
Together, we raised $3,239 to put toward her medical bills!
