After a challenging past of addiction and isolation, Michael Lowder has discovered serenity, purpose, and a connection with God.

Michael first came to PiN - a nonprofit organization founded about 4 years ago with the goal of bringing homeless individuals in Virginia Beach back to a loving God who will heal and give them hope - with the hope of getting some help to turn his life around. It was there he started to reestablish his relationship with the Lord and discover true healing. After turning his life around, the ministry that had provided him with help offered him the chance to advance to a supervisor position.

On July 9th, Michael was cleaning the air conditioners for work when he fell from a ladder. He suffered double vision, severe lung injuries, and head bleeding as a result of this occurrence. His His doctors were in shock and awe that he had not sustained more injuries from this fall, they called it a miracle.
Michael was on workers' compensation as he awaited approval to return to work and his “upgrade”- walking with a cane. Michael needs a little more assistance in the meantime so that he can concentrate more on his recovery and less on his money during his healing.

On September 21st, Love Heals held a benefit concert in VA beach to raise $4,400 for Michael, about 4 months of rent for him. Through this concert, his community went above and beyond by raising $5,621!
